Tests; inevitable, allowed by God and the path to renewed strength.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; you will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me.
The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands.

Psalm 138:7-8

Dear God, we all have various kinds of difficult situations, troubles that seem to come at us, whether deserved or not. When we are within Your will, we know we will still have difficulties and troubles, but the Psalmist says You will stretch out Your hand against our enemies.

Father, losing at least some battles here is almost guaranteed. Help us not to get discouraged, not to give up hope in You. You allow us to be tested; You put us in situations that cause us to exercise our spiritual strength and our powers of discernment. Help us, today to know that we need to rely on You if we intend for our actions to please You.

The Psalmist has it right, “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me”. You will cause every challenge, met in Your strength, to end up in victory, either here or there. We commit ourselves to seeking Your will in good times and bad times. Bless us this day. We pray in Jesus Name. Amen.
