PSALM 33:16-17

16 No king is saved by the multitude of an army; a mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
17 A horse is a vain hope for safety; neither shall it deliver any by its great strength.

PSALM 59:17

17 To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; for God is my defense, my God of mercy.

PSALM 56:3-4, 6-11

3 Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.
4 In God (I will praise His word), in God I have put my trust; I will not fear.
6 They gather together, they hide, they mark my steps, when they lie in wait for my life.
7 Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God!
8 You number my wanderings; put my tears into Your bottle; are they not in Your book?
9 When I cry out to You, then my enemies will turn back; this I know, because God is for me.
10 In God (I will praise His word), in the LORD (I will praise His word),
11 In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid…

PSALM 61:4-5

4 I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings…
5 For You, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear Your name.

PHILIPPIANS 4:12-13

12  Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

PSALM 71:1-3

1 In You, O LORD, I put my trust; let me never be put to shame.
2 Deliver me in Your righteousness, and cause me to escape; incline Your ear to me, and save me.
3 Be my strong refuge, to which I may resort continually; you have given the commandment to save me, for You are my rock and my fortress.

PSALM 119:117-165

117 Hold me up, and I shall be safe, and I shall observe Your statutes continually.
118 You reject all those who stray from Your statutes, for their deceit is falsehood.
119 You put away all the wicked of the earth like dross; therefore I love Your testimonies.
120 My flesh trembles for fear of You, and I am afraid of Your judgments.
121 I have done justice and righteousness; do not leave me to my oppressors.
122 Be surety for Your servant for good; do not let the proud oppress me.
123 My eyes fail from seeking Your salvation and Your righteous word.
124 Deal with Your servant according to Your mercy, and teach me Your statutes.
125 I am Your servant; give me understanding, that I may know Your testimonies.
126 It is time for You to act, O LORD, for they have regarded Your law as void.
127 Therefore I love Your commandments more than gold, yes, than fine gold!
128 Therefore all Your precepts concerning all things I consider to be right; I hate every false way.
129 Your testimonies are wonderful; therefore my soul keeps them.
130 The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.
131 I opened my mouth and panted, for I longed for Your commandments.
132 Look upon me and be merciful to me, as Your custom is toward those who love Your name.
133 Direct my steps by Your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me.
134 Redeem me from the oppression of man, that I may keep Your precepts.
135 Make Your face shine upon Your servant, and teach me Your statutes.
136 Rivers of water run down from my eyes, because men do not keep Your law.
137 Righteous are You, O LORD, and upright are Your judgments.
138 Your testimonies, which You have commanded, are righteous and very faithful.
139 My zeal has consumed me, because my enemies have forgotten Your words.
140 Your word is very pure; therefore Your servant loves it.
141 I am small and despised, yet I do not forget Your precepts.
142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your law is truth.
143 Trouble and anguish have overtaken me, yet Your commandments are my delights.
144 The righteousness of Your testimonies is everlasting; give me understanding, and I shall live.
145 I cry out with my whole heart; hear me, O LORD! I will keep Your statutes.
146 I cry out to You; save me, and I will keep Your testimonies.
147 I rise before the dawning of the morning, and cry for help; I hope in Your word.
148 My eyes are awake through the night watches, that I may meditate on Your word.
149 Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness; O LORD, revive me according to Your justice.
150 They draw near who follow after wickedness; they are far from Your law.
151 You are near, O LORD, and all Your commandments are truth.
152 Concerning Your testimonies, I have known of old that You have founded them forever.
153 Consider my affliction and deliver me, for I do not forget Your law.
154 Plead my cause and redeem me; revive me according to Your word.
155 Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek Your statutes.
156 Great are Your tender mercies, O LORD; revive me according to Your judgments.
157 Many are my persecutors and my enemies, yet I do not turn from Your testimonies.
158 I see the treacherous, and am disgusted, because they do not keep Your word.
159 Consider how I love Your precepts; revive me, O LORD, according to Your lovingkindness.
160 The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.
161 Princes persecute me without a cause, but my heart stands in awe of Your word.
162 I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure.
163 I hate and abhor lying, but I love Your law.
164 Seven times a day I praise You, because of Your righteous judgments.
165 Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble.

PSALM 138:7-8

7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; you will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me.
8 The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands.

PROVERBS 3:19-26

19 The LORD by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding He established the heavens;
20 By His knowledge the depths were broken up, and clouds drop down the dew.
21 My son, let them not depart from your eyes– keep sound wisdom and discretion;
22 So they will be life to your soul and grace to your neck.
23 Then you will walk safely in your way, and your foot will not stumble.
24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.
25 Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes;
26 For the LORD will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught.

PROVERBS 28:1, 4

1 The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.
4 Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but such as keep the law contend with them.

PROVERBS 29:25

25 The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe.

ISAIAH 41:10-13

10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
11 “Behold, all those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced; they shall be as nothing, and those who strive with you shall perish.
12 You shall seek them and not find them– those who contended with you. Those who war against you shall be as nothing, as a nonexistent thing.
13 For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’

ISAIAH 42:6

6 “I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness, and will hold Your hand;

ISAIAH 50:7-10

7 “For the Lord GOD will help Me; therefore I will not be disgraced; therefore I have set My face like a flint, and I know that I will not be ashamed.
8 He is near who justifies Me; who will contend with Me? Let us stand together. Who is My adversary? Let him come near Me.
9 Surely the Lord GOD will help Me; who is he who will condemn Me? Indeed they will all grow old like a garment; the moth will eat them up.
10 “Who among you fears the LORD? Who obeys the voice of His Servant? Who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD and rely upon his God.

ACTS 5:16-33

16 … a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.
17 Then the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with indignation,
18 and laid their hands on the apostles and put them in the common prison.
19 But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said,
20 “Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.”
21 And when they heard that, they entered the temple early in the morning and taught. But the high priest and those with him came and called the council together, with all the elders of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
22 But when the officers came and did not find them in the prison, they returned and reported,
23 saying, “Indeed we found the prison shut securely, and the guards standing outside before the doors; but when we opened them, we found no one inside!”
24 Now when the high priest, the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these things, they wondered what the outcome would be.
25 So one came and told them, saying, “Look, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people!”
26 Then the captain went with the officers and brought them without violence, for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.
27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest asked them,
28 saying, “Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man’s blood on us!”
29 But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men.
30 “The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree.
31 “Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
32 “And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”
33 When they heard this, they were furious and plotted to kill them.

ROMANS 8:24-25

24 …we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees?
25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

PHILIPPIANS 1:27-28

27 … let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel,
28 and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.

ROMANS 10:11

11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

2 CORINTHIANS 12:6-10

6 … though I might desire to boast, I will not be a fool; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain, lest anyone should think of me above what he sees me to be or hears from me.
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.
8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.
9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

EPHESIANS 1:15-21

15 … I …, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,
16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power
20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

2 TIMOTHY 1:7

7 … God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind

1 JOHN 4:17-18

17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

1 CORINTHIANS 16:13-14

13 Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.
14 Let all that you do be done with love.
